We believe that our world is at a critical juncture in time.  The viability of the human beings, all life and even the earth itself has been compromised by injustice, poverty and violence. 

We believe we can no longer wait for the government, corporations or even the church to save us - we, the people of earth must address the structural cause of the maladies of the earth.  We must rise to meet our individual and collective responsibility to care for the earth and all its inhabitants.

We believe that in order to promote a just, peaceful and sustainable world, we must declare our interdependence with all peoples and all life.  We must recognize that each life serves a unique and valuable role in our world - that we all make a difference!

We will take conscious  action to achieve this:

In our hearts by making a tangible, consistent commitment of our time, our political, social and consumer life choices and financial resources to promote universal values that transcend the preceived barriers of ethnicity, culture, faith, political ideology or economic status and embraces tolerance, diversity, justice and peace among the family of humanity and all life on earth.

In our local communities by promoting civic, community and spiritual leaders that encourages individual empowerment and collective action that promotes close-knit, just,   caring and sustainable communities.

In our economic, political, social and spiritual institutions by engaging and training citizens to hold decision makers at all levels accountable for their actions.

In our Nation and the world by assuring the consequences of our decisions so that potential harm is avoided for all people today and future generations.

Who We Are

ROLE is a community based membership of individuals from all walks of life who are each striving to bring joy, love, wellbeing, wisdom, abundance, freedom and peace to their own lives and the lives of each member of the family of humanity.  We are:

People overcoming extreme challenges who seek to bring healing to their own lives by regaining a sense of purpose in their lives through service to others;

Retirees and Community Elders who now have the time and desire to share their wisdom, experience and expertise through volunteering and philanthropy;

Veterans of US Military Service, Civilian Contractors, and those leaving the public sector who are seeking a new way to continue their commitment to service and the Nation;

The Family of Care Givers - the professionals, volunteers and family members who have the courage and commitment of heart, head and hands to meet the needs of the most vulnerable among us;

Social Entrepreneurs, Community, Spiritual and Civic Leaders, Activists and Advocats all launching grassroot initiatives to promote sustainable communities;

Artisans, craftsman, writers and musicians who use a creative meidum to bring joy, inspiritation, healing and beauty to the world;

Community, faith and civic based organizations that are all striving to meet emerging community needs in a way that empowers each of us and promotes the development of sustainable communities.
